Some I may have stuck with for a few weeks but others lasted only a few hours.  One of the first ones I remember trying was the Mayo Clinic Diet.  This was a diet supposedly designed for you to lose 50- 55 lbs in just 10 weeks. I felt special like I was a part of a secret society that knew something only a few other people knew. Healthy Mind

  It can be really hard to make healthy choices when you're busy and stressed out. A Healthy Mind is one that is well-rested, well-fed, and  well-balanced.   We all have some level of stress in our life but we must be able to identify when that stress is affecting our health in a negative way.  We all need to "unwind" sometimes and splurge on some self-care. Everyone's version of a Healthy Mind is not the same. So again there is no one-size-fits-all-plan.   Sometimes you may need is to take a break, read a book, go for a run, paint, clean, or even just drive and in other times your mind is out of balance where medication is required.  All of us have our own battles and our own vices that we use to deal with that stressed-out unhealthy feeling.  A Healthy Mind requires constant maintenance just like the rest of the body.  For some, when they hear Healthy Mind, the thoughts of sitting cross-legged on a mat focusing on your breathing jumps ...

Healthy Plate

We all know that what's on your plate and what you put in your body directly affects your health but did you know that what you eat can also affect your mind, body, and your wallet in a positive or negative way.  We have such a better understanding in this generation of how food affects us. There are even tests you can take at home to determine your sensitivity to food but even when we know something is not healthy for us we may continue to include it on our plate.   I know that if I eat ice cream I will bloat and have excess gasses.  This leads to being very uncomfortable and affecting my sleep, not to mention it is very embarrassing.  Even knowing that this food causes a negative reaction to my Body and Mind I would still eat it.   I did not want to eliminate this food so I had to find ways that it being part of my plate did not affect my body or mind.   The solution was simple if I want Ice cream I make my own or choose a Low Carb, NonDair...

Healthy Body

  If you want to feel better, eat better, and be happier, the first step is to exercise regularly. It will release endorphins, improve your mood, and make you feel better about yourself. The key is to find something you enjoy doing. You can try walking, running, yoga, or even playing a sport. The important thing is that you find something that feels good for you. Adding just a little bit of movement to your day can also help your  cholesterol , blood sugar,  and even your heart health. It does not do any good to look healthy if you are not getting healthy on the inside also.
