Healthy Wallet
A Healthy Wallet does not mean you need to have excess funds to toss around or spend on things that you do not need, nor does it mean being a scrooge and never splurging or spoiling yourself. A Healthy Wallet starts with being in a position where the status of your wallet is not causing other areas to be unhealthy.
It's so easy for some of us to just jump right in and start buying items to help in this challenge. I found myself wanting to sign up for just about every healthy eating plan in existence. I was so desperate to make these changes. I wanted exercise equipment, I wanted... Luckily I took a breath - looked at my options and decided what I really needed and what would bring me joy.
I am one of those people who like to do things at 100% and sometimes that leads to making irresponsible purchases in my pursuit of a goal. I had to realize that my goal was not just to lose weight but to fully accept the Get Healthy Challenge. And my wallet is part of the health I am trying to achieve.
So instead of overindulging in products, I had to choose what I really needed. One of the toughest decisions was whether to try the KETO30 program from Ketologic. I knew I could probably pick up protein powders cheaper at the grocery store, but this was a proven system, and I really needed the coaching support. I needed that accountability if I was going to succeed and so far it was the right decision. My coach is wonderful, the shakes and powders taste good and so far they are really helping me.
I was also on the fence about getting a treadmill. I have wanted one for a while but based on my history with workout equipment, I was really worried, it would become a clothes rack as some of my exercise equipment had become in the past. So, I decided against getting the treadmill and chose to sign up for Get Healthy U TV. This option was so much better for my wallet. You can Currently Get Healthy U TV for a year for only .99 (YES, LESS THAN 1 DOLLAR) this program is regularly $69 so hurry and join with me (ad).
Other than those purchases, I have actually refrained from purchasing any other items to help along this journey so far. I have also looked at my finances and have found where I had some subscriptions that I really did not need anymore. I also found some auto payments in my PayPal account for an old app that was not even still on my phone.
So weigh your options. Be careful committing to auto-shipments, a diet plan, gym, or even just switching to all organic unless your wallet can handle it. Put away a few dollars a week, month, or year. Decrease your spending, Drop your change in an account like Acorn. Find ways to add a little extra income to your budget that works with your healthy lifestyle.
